Transcribe interviews, analyze data, and am in the process of completing an extensive annotated bibliography as part of a research lab which focuses on reducing racial, economic, and social inequalities, especially in the criminal justice system.

Conducted and transcribed interviews of Black alumni at Swarthmore College. Also was a part of a team which looked through historic records of Black students at Swarthmore College.

Create and maintain a budget of upwards of $15,000 annually for C4, the student-run wing of Chester Residents Concerned for Quality Living, an environmental justice group based in Chester, PA. Also was a part of the team which aided the organization’s grant writing team which was awarded a $25,000 Project Pericles fund.

Work to create an inclusive environment within the Swarthmore Athletics community. Also organizes programming and created/maintains a budget of almost $10,000 anually.

Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

 

The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship is a program that aims to increase diversity within university faculty. Part of a cohort of around 15 students from the school in a competitive application process.

 

Phillips Evans Scholarship

 

One of the 8 out of over 400 students from my class at Swarthmore awarded a scholarship which recognizes a student’s academic merit and career aspirations. 

 

NSF REU Fellow

 

Was selected in a highly competitive field to conduct research and present with other fellows/faculty members in Sociology.
